(No, it’s not a word, but I like it.) The glorious logo at the top of the page, with its swooping (and in places hatlike) calligraphy against a subtly colored cuneiform background, is the work of the amazing taz; go visit Citrus Moon and admire. I am grateful to them for making this project less daunting to me, and I hope the final result is pleasing to all Languagehat aficionados. Pull up a chair, and let’s talk language.
